CROOK ALERT!!! - indieRhythm.com – CD bootlegger & deceiver
Independent and signed artist beware IndieRhythm.com is an online crook and bootlegger! He was discovered back in 2006 spamming under the name James McCullough. In 2007 he continued spamming and changed his name to James D and then changed again in 2008 and now 2009. He claims to be an Independent Artist MegaStore. All false!!!!
His primary targets are independent artist and bootlegging some major artist. The first red flag I noticed was when I asked him what the D. stood for in his name. He avoided the question. That prompted a sells pattern analysis from my accountant who confirmed indierhytm exaggerated the number of hit’s to the site. When compared with my primary distributor the number of hits indierhytm claimed did not match up to the amount of sells that should have generated over a 4 month period. In 2007 his email pitch claims his site receives 250,000 hits a month. In 2008 he changed that to 350,000 hits a month all which is false information. Indeirhythm received less then 2000 hits since Jan of this year and the number was less last year and the year before.
My attorney Diane Leigh Davison Esq. got the goods on this spamming scammer. He takes your money to set up a fake profile on his fake site and then has you send your CD’s claiming that you will receive 70% to his 30 in sells. Your fake profile is never being viewed except by the people you send to the site. So if you are an artist partnered with this crook you have never and will never make a dime. If you do happen to sell a CD he will not report the sell to you and will not send the CD to the buyer. He is scamming artist as well as the buyer through paypal that’s how he makes his money. He has no affiliates, no way to track the number of hit’s to your profile and will not return your merchandise if you cancel. HE HAS NO INTENTION TO SELL YOUR CD’S HE ONLY WANTS THE MONEY YOU SEND TO HIM TO SET UP THE PROFILE. Please review the links below for verification and note the myspace page to avoid.
