Does 24 hour block mean I get 24 hours of studio time?
Yes.
Do I have to pay for 24 hours of studio time if I don’t need it?
No. you only pay for what you require.
Do I save money by booking a 24 hour block?
Yes. If you are certain that booking a smaller block will not exceed the
time you require, then that is best. If you are not certain, it
is best to book the 24 hour block. You actually save money, rather
than paying for additional smaller blocks.
If I save money booking a 24 hour block what is the purpose of the
smaller blocks?
The smaller blocks were designed to meet the needs of local artist with
finished works, which don’t require flow time to create their masterpiece.
Finished works meaning, a completed song, when the only thing left to
do is record and burn, which is perfect for bands with live instruments.
If you have finished works that need to be recreated it is best to book
the 24 hour block, because recreating a song usually means making
changes. You want to have plenty of flow time to try different things.
No. if you book a block and can not put in all the man hours, you can
save the rest of your time for another day. Most local artist have jobs
and can’t put in a straight 6 - 24 hour session including me!
If I have a group do we get to share a block?
Yes. Groups and bands pay one price for a block. In a group or band
the block rate can be split between the members, saving you money.
Can I make a partial payment for my studio time?
Yes. We accept partial payments on studio time. To get started you will
need to pay half the cost of your block rate, however if you do not pay
the remaining balance on your studio time you will not be able to burn
or make copies of your recorded work.
My cousins and friends are big fans of mine can I bring them along
to watch?
No. unfortunately 8MO maintains a strict code of closed sessions.
The only persons that will be admitted are band and group members only,
no tag-a-longs. (relatives, fans, groupies etc.) Some exceptions maybe made
for under aged artist and persons playing a major role in the development
of the group, band or artist.
